Giffnock Open Results and Round-up
The Round of 16 took place today in the Giffnock Open Womens & Mens Tournaments.
Womens Open Quarterfinals - Results
Francesca Simpson [8] was the only seed to win in the Womens Quarterfinals today and will face Alice Brook in tomorrows Semi-Final which will be streamed live on our YouTube Channel. The other match will see Tia Bonita Jakupovic-Kljako take on Amelie Brooks who came through in 3 sets against 4th seed Teodora Prisadnikova.

Mens Open Quarterfinals - Results
The Mens Quarterfinals went to form as the top 3 seeds all progressed although all 3 were taken to a deciding set. Ewan Moore [1] and Marcus Walters [2] both won their deciding sets 6-2 against saw the seeds fair better with 7 of the top 8 seeds making it through to the Quarterfinals. There were tight matches for 2nd seed Marcus Walters who came through 7-6, 7-5 against Ben Hudson [8] and Nicolas Rosenzweig [5]. 3rd seed qualifier Ewen Lumsden [3] was much closer progressing 7-5 in the final set against Euan Mcintosh [6]. Jed Alexander took the final place in straight sets against qualifier Mason Dace. Tomorrow's semi-finals sees Jed Alexander face Marcus Walters while the match between Ewan Moore and Ewen Lumsden will be streamed live on our YouTube Channel.
