Mens Singles Final - Result

After overcoming last years Singles Champion Ewan Moore in the Semi-Final Ewen Lumsden faced Jed Alexander in the Mens Singles Final.

In a great first set Alexander struck first breaking Lumsden in the opening game and consolidating to take an early 2-0 lead. Both players then held serve but with Alexander looking likely to take the first set he was broken at 4-3 up to tie the set up. Lumsden then held to lead for the first time and continued his momentum by breaking Alexander in a decisive game to take the first set 6-4.

Lumsden took this momentum in to the second set holding his serve before immediately breaking Alexander in his opening service match to lead 2-0. Consolidating to 3-0 Lumsden had now won 6 games in a row. From here both players held serve and Lumsden served out for the title winning 6-4, 6-3 in a great match
